Like as in your boss calls you ON YOUR DAY OFF and asks you to come in. Or when they email you stuff to do and they want it written or completed that night ON YOUR DAY OFF.  :L

If so, how do you guys deal with this? I really want to say no but I'm scared I might lose my job. T____T

Work rights? In the USA?
Don't think they exist.

Best asking some other people from the states like SLK (even though he's 14)

The first thing to ask is always'' is there gonna be extra pay? ''

Because you are not gonna work for free.

I doubt you will lost the job, but if he did fire you. It's his loss since he is gonna lose a capable employee like you =)

I got asked to work overtime, like for 1 weeks by the Australian Work Resllience Justice shit (some Government act) my profession is only legally aloud to work 38 hours, any time over that is considered overtime and is all double time. I have been working back to back 60 hour weeks, and been reaking in the overtime pay. It depends on what you do tho.

I do get overtime pay, but I rather take the day off than the money. I just don't want my boss to think I'm undedicated. :L

My boss isn't the nicest guy . . . I've heard him tell another employee that she was replaceable if she didn't keep it up . . .

Probs best off just doing it if you're rly concerned about losing your job, your boss seems like the sort of guy who would judging by this: "My boss isn't the nicest guy . . . I've heard him tell another employee that she was replaceable if she didn't keep it up . . ."

Stop playing the game, or start fucking the game. One or the other. If we're going to play monopoly with them, knowing they have the entire bank and the game rigged, then you better have some tricks up your sleeve...

I work 5 days, and if i do get called up for over time i will go

but if i cant make it then he cant do shit about it because it isnt my regular hours you know ?

Basically if he sacks you, we in australia have a union or we can contest it

I've heard my friend's bosses go skits at them when they decline an extra shift.

Say that you're busy and out with family, as everyone needs a break. I'm sure your boss will understand this.

If you're not scheduled to work on that day your boss has no right to force you. You can say no and just tell him you already had other plans or something. He's wouldn't be allowed to fire you for not coming in either.

If he did try to fire you over this just be ready to fight it. Don't let someone think they have any power over you when you're not getting paid by them.
